A Touch of Old-World Glamour: My Visit to Cube Beauty Berlin

There are beauty appointments one simply gets through, and there are those one savours like a small ritual. My visit to Cube Beauty Berlin belongs firmly to the latter. It is a studio I had been watching for a while before finally taking an appointment, and one leaves it feeling, in the most pleasant way, entirely oneself again.
Anyone who follows my Pinterest, La Maison Élégante, will understand at once why this place appealed to me. My boards Elegant Luxury Beauty and Old Money Aesthetic Nails are devoted to a soft, polished, quietly luxurious look: immaculate nails, natural-looking lashes, effortless elegance. Cube Beauty Berlin is one of the few addresses where that look does not merely live on a mood board, it is actually delivered.

Where to Find Them

Cube Beauty Berlin has two locations, each with its own charm. The Mitte studio sits on the seventh floor of the Steigenberger Hotel am Kanzleramt, at Ella-Trebe-Straße 5, a remarkably calm address for such a central location. The second studio is in Wilmersdorf, directly on Ludwigkirchplatz 11, in one of those leafy, residential corners where Berlin suddenly turns very quiet. Both are in demand, so it is wise to reserve in good time. Their Instagram profile @cubebeautyberlin also gives a good impression of their work.

The Russian Manicure: Precision You Can See

I chose the Russian manicure, a technique I have appreciated for a long time. The cuticle work is done dry, with fine precision instruments rather than soaking, which allows the technician to work directly along the cuticle line, cleanly and with complete control, without the small irregularities a conventional manicure occasionally leaves behind. The result: a nail bed that looks almost retouched, perfectly clean, with a polish line without the slightest interruption.
What set this appointment apart was the calm with which the work was done. Each hand, each nail received the same undivided attention, and the symmetry at the end spoke for itself. Weeks later, my nails still looked freshly done, barely any regrowth, no chipping, nothing. It is the difference between a manicure and craftsmanship, and one recognises it at first glance.

Lash Extensions That Still Look Like Your Own Lashes

I also tried the lash extensions, and was impressed. The lashes themselves are fine and feather-light, imported from Russia, where the finest extension material still comes from. There is a difference between lashes one recognises as artificial at once, and lashes that simply look like a more beautiful version of one’s own. This studio has mastered the latter.
The technician tailored length and curl individually to my natural lash line rather than applying a standard set, and the treatment itself was so comfortable that I lost all sense of time. The result keeps its promise: weeks later, the lashes still sit evenly, with no shedding and no clumping. This is exactly how it should be, and exactly how rarely it is.

The Overall Experience

What distinguishes Cube Beauty Berlin beyond the treatments themselves is the atmosphere: calm, considered, without the slightest rush. No one is hurried through here. The hygiene is impeccable, the team is happy to explain what they are doing and why, and the staff speak several languages, communication was effortless.
Anyone in Berlin looking for a studio that treats the Russian manicure and lash extensions as true specialities rather than quick add-on services will find it here. Cube Beauty Berlin is the kind of address one passes on among friends, and precisely the understated, refined form of beauty I curate on Pinterest and look for in life.
